YOGA
How does Yoga work?
Yoga has a stress-reducing effect and promotes relaxation, rejuvenation and vitality. It increases blood circulation and can relieve pain. Yoga also helps to improve mobility and strengthens the muscles.
What should I wear to practice Yoga?
I recommend wearing comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely and also keep you warm during the resting phases - or take an extra top with you. Yoga is usually practiced barefoot, but you can also wear non-slip socks. Sneakers, on the other hand, are not suitable.
Where do the Yoga lessons take place?
I offer private yoga lessons for individuals and couples/duos in my practice in Burgdorf. The Bucheararel is just a six-minute walk from Burgdorf main station. It also has two parking spaces for visitors. If these are already full, you can park on the opposite side of the traffic circle (for a fee).
The yoga group courses take place in Heimiswil, all information can be found at www.yogaheimiswil.ch.
How long does a Yoga lesson last?
A private lesson usually lasts 60 minutes, but we can adapt the length to your needs. The group courses in Heimiswil last 60 minutes (morning yoga) and 90 minutes (evening yoga).
Can Yoga have negative side effects?
Yoga is very gentle on the body and therefore generally harmless. However, if you are suffering from an illness or severe pain, please contact me to clarify the possibilities on an individual basis.
What is the procedure for shiatsu therapy?
We start our first meeting with a detailed discussion (intake) so that I have a good understanding of your health history and your needs. Afterwards, we start the Shiatsu treatment. In the following treatments, we focus on your current concerns and goals. During the treatment you will lie on a futon (Japanese mat).

How many treatments should I have?
For chronic symptoms or major life changes, a series of 8 to 10 sessions is recommended. However, Shiatsu can also be helpful if it is booked irregularly and when needed.
Can Shiatsu also have negative effects?
Shiatsu is a very gentle body therapy and is generally very safe. You may experience slight side effects such as headaches and tiredness after a treatment, but these symptoms usually disappear within a few hours. Contact me if they last longer. Please note that Shiatsu is not a substitute for a visit to the doctor.
